Emergency Medical Services Degree (M712)

The Associate of Applied Science Degree allows students who have completed one of the Paramedic certificates, or EMS providers who are currently licensed as Maryland Paramedics, to achieve an Associate of Applied Science Degree in Emergency Medical Services. A Paramedic CRT provides emergency medical treatment at the scene of an accident or illness and transports sick and injured persons to medical facilities. The Paramedic CRT also analyzes and takes command of patient care with full responsibility for the patient until relieved by proper medical staff. Paramedic CRTs work with Fire and EMS employees, but their role does not involve full supervisory duties or responsibilities.
