WHLT 3404 - Medicine Aade Update

Provides the training to satisfy recertifi cation requirements for Medicine Aides. New medications, procedures, and protocols are covered. Participants take the certifi cation exam as part of the course. Recertifi cation applicants are required to provide proof of 100 hours of Certfi ed Medicine Aide practice in a licensed nursing home within the last two years. The Maryland Board of Nursing has established a 90-day window for recertifi cation training. Medicine Aides must attend recertifi cation class from 60 days before expiration of their license to 30 days after expiration. Training outside of this established window will not be recognized by the Maryland Board of Nursing.
