WDCE 104 - Diesel Mechanics II The Diesel Mechanic II course is the second course in the larger Diesel Mechanic program and is designed to prepare students to function as entry-level diesel technicians
performing tasks related to modern diesel engines and commercial vehicles. This course focuses on tires and wheels, transmissions, steering, alignment, suspension systems, and HVAC systems. Diesel mechanics serve their customers with job titles such as Diesel Service Technicians, Diesel Technicians, and Diesel Mechanics. The purpose of this
program is to prepare students to inspect, repair, and overhaul diesel vehicles including medium and heavy-duty trucks. Students who complete 3-course comprehensive
course are not only prepared for entry-level positions as technicians in diesel engine repair shops and related facilities, they will be prepared to sit for the Automotive
Service Excellence (ASE) Automotive Maintenance and Light Repair (G1) certification exam once they have the work experience requirement.
