Workforce Training: Community Health Worker

Community Health Worker serves as a liason between health/social services and the community to facilitate access to services and improve the quality and cultural competence of service delivery.  CHW’s also provide outreach, community education, informal counseling, social support and advocacy. 

 

The following course modules are included: 

• Community Health Worker 1 

• Community Health Worker 2 

• Community Health Worker Clinical 

 

Requirements: 

• Attend Information session 

• Be 18 and over 

• Math and Reading assessment

 

Credential Earned: 

• Community Health Worker  

 

Certifying Body: 

• Maryland Department of Health
