FAS 102 - Historic Costume and Textile Development(3 credits) 15 lecture hours; 75 hours combined lecture and laboratory Prerequisites: FAS 101 (formerly AT 101) or FAS 200 Lab fee The history of costume from ancient civilization to the present and the development, characteristics, and selection of textiles are explored. Through the use of research, museum and library resources, and hands-on experience, students create costumes and apply surface design techniques to fabrics based on historical periods and contemporary events.
