CRJ 231 - Community Policing I(3 credits) 45 lecture hours Prerequisites: None The law enforcement professional is introduced to the theory and practice of community policing in the U.S. and overseas. The history, philosophy, programs, and techniques of community policing are addressed in detail. The interaction between the community and the law enforcement officer is explored at the individual, group, and organizational levels. Diversity issues are examined in depth.
