This course is the first of two, that help students develop basic proficiency skills in French. The thematic content instruction focuses on development listening, comprhension, and basic speaking skills. Class activities include conversation, reading, translating, and basic writing, as well as instruction in various aspects of the culture of Frech speaking countries.
