The student examines the role of the Licensed Practical Nurse, legal and ethical responsibilities, and nursing organizations in preparation for employment. Content includes a review of current trends in the health care system and in nursing. The various roles and responsibilities of the LPN are discussed. Opportunities for continuning education and career advancement are explored. Learning experiences include lecture, class discussion, and job search activities.
